THEORY-PRACTICE CONFERENCE ON PRESERVING PAPER DOCUMENTS STARTS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ A theory-practice conference titled "Preserving and repairing paper documents at monasteries" kicked off on Tuesday in the Gandantegchilen Monastery in frames of the measures taken by the government of Mongolia for preserving cultural heritage. Co-organized by the Mongolian National Commission for UNESCO and the Goethe Institute, the conference is being chaired by Dirk Perlman, an expert of paper document at the UNESCO, and it has brought together officials from the National Library of Mongolia, the General Authority of Archive, the Center of Cultural Heritage, the Children's Book Center and the Gandantegchilen Monastery.
