THERMAL STATION COMES INTO SERVICE IN PROVINCE CENTER

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ An opening ceremony of new thermal power station took place in Baruun-Urt city in eastern Mongolia on Monday. The power station has been built under irrevocable aid of the S.Korea, represented by its international cooperation agency KOICA, and with a financing of USD five million in three year’s time. The power plant, which has been completed within the renovation project of Baruun-Urt city hot water and thermal systems, aims at reliable thermal energy supply, thus improving a quality of life there. The plant, built under the S.Korean advanced heating technologies, uses solar energy in order to reduce household electricity use in a certain amount. Mongolian engineers and technical staff, who have been involved in related trainings in South Korea, will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and operations of the thermal station with automatic voltage regulators. Opening the station, the State Secretary of the Energy Ministry D.Delgerstogt noted the great benefits the plant provides for the living of the people there. The Baruun-Urt thermal power station pilots another eight thermal stations planned to come into service in province centers next year.
