Three More Industrial Estates To Be Set up in Thailand

BAGKOK, January 5 (TNA) - The Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) has given the green light to six firms to establish three industrial estates in the country, aimed at promoting industrial trade, investment and services, said Vithoon Simachokdee, permanent secretary for Industry. Mr. Vithoon said that the new industrial estates would help in bridging development of the East-West Economic Corridor, which links Mawlamyine (Moulmein) port in Myanmar with Da Nang port in Vietnam. Under the approval, three firms including Udon Thani Industrial City Co., Ltd. in Udon Thani province will cooperate with Naga Clean Power Co., Ltd. in Nong Khai province and the Energy Industrial Garden Co., Ltd. in Nakhon Ratchasima province will set up an industrial estate in the Northeast. A small- and medium-sized industrial estate will be established in the East by IRPC Public Co., Ltd. and the Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate Co. Muang-ngern Development Co., Ltd. in the northernmost province of Chiang Rai will establish Chiang Khong Industrial Estate. (TNA)
