Tokyo to host Iranian Film Week

Beijing, Aug 6, IRNA – Iranian Film Week will be held in Tokyo, Japan, on August 7-9 with seven Iranian films to be screened, the country's Cultural Attaché to Japan said. The film week will be held in cooperation with Iran's embassy in Tokyo, the Minato municipality, and Iran's Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Hossein Divsalar told Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) Sunday. Masoud Taheri, the Iranian director of the documentary 'The Eastern', has also cooperated in preparation for the week, Divsalar said. The documentary has been produced on the life of the Japanese Islamologist and Quran scholar Toshihiko Izutsu. During the event, the Iranian films: Season of Narges, Bodyguard, Mubarak, Charm, Where Are My Shoes, Mermaid, and The Eastern, will go on screen.
