Tourists continue visiting Northern Thailand

BANGKOK, January 12 (TNA) - Northern Thailand remains a booming landmark for tourists, amid cool weather and temperatures as low as 5 degrees Celsius. Popular attractions include Phu Chee Fah, literally 'the Mountain that points to the Sky' which remains a popular place to experience sunrise in Chiang Rai province. In Mae Hong Son’s Pai district, known as Switzerland of Thailand, travellers enjoy seeing the unspoiled tradition at Hmong hill tribe villages, where local New Year celebrations are being organised and preserved. The peak of Doi Pui in Chiang Mai province is another crowded venue, where people have come to admire the scenery of winter flowers, including Nang Phaya Sua Krong or Wild Sakuras, which bloom only for about two weeks during winter time.
