Tourists enjoy Songkran at Khao San Road

BANGKOK, April 13 (TNA) - Water splashing at Khao San Road, one of the most favourite spots among foreign tourists, during Songkran festival started early day amid the heat in Bangkok. Security is stepped up to provide safety for the public. Locals and foreign tourists will be allowed to enter the area after they have passed the checkpoints. The celebrants, dressed in colourful shirts carry water guns to play in a water fight while policemen patrol along the street and neighbouring areas to ensure that there is no troublemakers or robbers. Revellers are allowed to enjoy Songkran on Khao San Road until 9.00 p.m. daily until this Sunday, the last day of the annual festival. (TNA)
