Toyota Reports Record Operating Profit for April-Sept.

Tokyo, Nov. 5 (Jiji Press)--Toyota Motor Corp. <7203> reported Thursday a group operating profit of 1,583,405 million yen for April-September, up 17.1 pct from a year earlier and hitting the highest level on record for the six-month period. In the first half of the current business year, the major automaker posted a record net profit of 1,258,112 million yen, up 11.6 pct, and sales of 14,091,488 million yen, also an all-time high and up 8.9 pct. Meanwhile, Toyota cut its full-year sales forecast by 300 billion yen to 27,500 billion yen, while keeping unchanged the annual operating and net profits estimates. END
