TPAO ends oil exploration in Black Sea

KASTAMONU (A.A) - December 26, 2011 - Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) ended the oil exploration in the Black Sea --north of Turkey. "Deepwater Champion", one of the most modern oil exploration ships of the world and belongs to U.S. Exxon Mobile company, terminated the exploration as it could not find any oil or natural gas in Kastamonu-1 and Surmene-1 wells in the Black Sea. The ship approached Inebolu Port to leave Turkish territorial waters. "Deepwater Champion" will proceed to Romania for new oil explorations. The ship had begun oil exploration 120 miles off Inebolu in April.
