PATTANI, Sept 4 (TNA) - All train service in three southernmost provinces is put on hold indefinitely following Saturday’s bomb attack on a train. The southern- bound trains stop at Hat Yai station in Songkhla. The State Rrailway of Thailand has provided bus trips to carry stranded train passengers from Hai Yai station to their destinations further South. Security has been stepped up to provide safety for passengers. The carriages damaged by the blast were moved to the Hai Yai terminal while the repair of the railway tracks will be done after security officials evaluate the situation and allow workers to carry out the repair work to ensure their safety. The bomb, placed on the track exploded yesterday evening when the Su-ngai Kolok – Hat Yai train was passing the Khokpho district in Pattani province. The explosion separated the last carriage from the rest of the train, killing a railway employee and injured three persons. (TNA)
