Trio Travel Around Peninsula On Foot To Clean Mosques

MUAR (Johor, Malaysia), Feb 21 (Bernama) -- With the intention of doing good deeds and a passion for travelling, two siblings and a friend decided to embark on a record breaking trip around the country - on foot. Anas Aiman Jaffry, 27, his brother Muhammad Aidil, 24, and friend Hizamuddin Aliddin, 25, have so far travelled for 28 days beginning their journey from Shah Alam in Selangor state, and they have so far visited and cleaned 19 mosques along the way. The distance from Shah Alam to Muar is some 197 km. According to their travel plans, they would be visiting a total of 132 mosques nationwide within a six-month period. "We plan to create a record by travelling on foot around Peninsular Malaysia while cleaning mosques on the way. "This journey is different because we will be cleaning mosques voluntarily s our mission is to do good deeds for the local communities," Anas Aiman told reporters when the trio arrived in Parit Bakar here, Saturday. The men, who were previously working as store supervisors and security guards, had resigned from their jobs to realise their mission. -- BERNAMA
