Tsunamis Reach Japan after Chile Quake

Tokyo, April 3 (Jiji Press)--Tsunami waves unleashed by the 8.2-magnitude earthquake that struck off Chile on Tuesday night local time reached Pacific coastal areas of northern to eastern Japan on Thursday morning, the Japan Meteorological Agency said. The agency issued a tsunami advisory to northern to eastern areas along the Pacific Ocean, and the Izu and Ogasawara islands at 3 a.m. Thursday.
