Tunisia rejects interfering in Bahrain internal affairs

Manama, Apr 27 (BNA) – Tunisian Foreign Secretary of State for Arab and African Affairs, Dr. Touhami Abdouli, stressed that the internal security of Bahrain, in particular, and other Gulf countries, in general, is of great concern to Tunisia which rejects all forms of external interference in the internal affairs of Bahrain. Dr. Touhami Abdouli, told Bahrain News Agency (BNA), that Tunisia is looking forward to develop bilateral relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain at all levels. He noted discussing regional and international issues with Deputy Premier, Shaikh Mohammad bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, and Foreign Affairs Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, as the main objective of his visit to Bahrain. He added that he reviewed Tunisian point of view on a number of Arab issues, including situations in Yemen and Libya, as well as the Syrian issue. With regard to his country's stance toward the situation in Yemen, he said that Tunisia has expressed support for Operation Decisive Storm and Operation Restore Hope in Yemen, for they reflect the joint Arab determination. He added that his country agrees to the establishment of a joint Arab force. He pointed out the invitation forwarded to Bahrain Foreign Minister to visit Tunisia in next June, and the organizational aspects of the Arab Economic Summit to be held there. He also referred to the preparation for Tunisian President's tour in GCC countries. He said that he met with Education Minister, Dr. Majid Al-Nuaimi, and discussed the possibility of benefiting from Tunisian capabilities in education sector, and the exchange of expertise in the fields of higher education and scientific researches. He valued the care provided by Bahrain's leadership for Tunisian community, which reflects the social convergence between the two people and the political congruence between the two leaderships. He noted his country's resolve on eliminating terrorism and restoring security and stability there. He commended the Algerian and Libyan cooperation on confronting terrorism.
