Turkey to construct a hospital in Somalia

ANKARA (A.A) - Turkey would construct a hospital in Somalia, deputy premier said on Thursday. Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag received Somali Justice & Religious Affairs Minister Ahmed Hussein Gabobe and an accompanying delegation in Ankara. Bozdag said that he would pay a visit to Somalia to lay foundation of hospital and be informed on infrastructure projects and investments in Somalia on November 26 and 27. 535.6 million Turkish lira was collected in Turkey for Somalia, he said. "We will lay foundation of a 200-bed hospital there. We will also open a school," he said. Bozdag said that Turkey has sent aid with 11 planes and 8 ships to Somalia so far, stating that 41 Somali people were treated in hospitals in Turkey. Somali Justice Minister Gabobe said that they were grateful to Turkey for its assistance.
