Jerusalem, March 23 (Jiji Press)--Turkish authorities have detained a Japanese man who is suspected of trying to join the Islamic State militant group, local media reported Wednesday. The man, 24, was held in Gaziantep, southern Turkey, on Tuesday on suspicion of seeking to cross the border into Syria to participate in the group, the reports said. The name of the man has not been disclosed. Turkish authorities plan to deport him from Turkey after completing investigations, the reports said.
