TURKEY PLEDGES SUPPORT FOR MONGOLIA’S CANDIDACY TO UN HUMAN RIGHTS COUNCIL

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of Turkey Mr B.Batkhishig met with the head of International Political Organizations Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Ms Zeynep Kiziltan on and handed over a copy of the letter of the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia H.E.Mr. Lundeg Purevsuren addressed to H.E.Mr. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey on his request of support of Mongolia’s candidacy to the UN Human Rights Council. Ambassador B.Batkhishig stressed Mongolia’s concrete achievement in setting up a legal environment and economic and social conditions for securing human rights and freedom on the steadfast path of democracy and reform after democratic revolution in 1990 and informed that Mongolia on the base of its experiences accumulated during this reform has decided to present its candidature to the UN Human Rights Council. Mrs. Zeynep Kiziltan underlined a successful cooperation between Turkey and Mongolia in international arena and expressed Turkish position on firm support of Mongolia’s candidacy to the UN Human Rights Council.
