Turkey turned its face to east again, former SG of Hezbollah says

BEIRUT (A.A) - Turkey has turned its face to the east again, former secretary general of Hezbollah said. Speaking to AA correspondent in Beirut, Subhi al-Tufayli said that Turkey had a unique foreign policy. Al-Tufayli said that he was glad that Turkey started to be interested in Arab countries again during the term of the ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party. Turkey turned its face to the east as it did in the past, he said, adding that Turkey supported the people's demands for freedom and human rights in the region. Turkey did not have dialogue with Arab countries for a long time and the country was close to Israel, he said, adding that the AK Party government changed this situation. Al-Tufayli said that Turks supported human rights in Syria and he hoped that Turkey would take more steps for its neighbor. (Reporting by Mustafa Ozturk)
