Turkey's economy minister says gvt's aim is to make Turkey a more predictable country

ISTANBUL (A.A) - Turkey's economy minister said on Saturday that the government's aim was to make Turkey a more predictable country. Zafer Caglayan underlined importance of confidence, stability and sustainability for a positive economic  picture. "As statesmen, our aim is to make Turkey a more predictable country," Caglayan said during the Second Entrepreneurship Summit in Istanbul. Caglayan said Turkey was among the top 20 countries attracting the highest foreign capital in the world, and the 17th biggest country in the world and the sixth biggest in the continent of Europe. "Today we are the most rapidly growing economy in Europe, and the main supplier of significant industrial goods," he said. Caglayan said Turkey was the main country supplying light commercial vehicles to Europe, and the third biggest country supplying automobiles. "One out of three durable goods of Europe is produced in our country, and Turkish contracting industry is the second in the world following China," he said. Caglayan also said Turkey's aim was to create an atmosphere of confidence for trade and investments. The Second Global Entrepreneurship Summit is taking place at Istanbul Harbiye Convention Center between December 3 and 6 under the theme of "Entrepreneurship, Values and Development: A Global Agenda". The summit brings together 2,000 successful entrepreneurs from Turkey and throughout the world. It is the follow-up of the "Entrepreneurship Summit" hosted by U.S. President Barack Obama in Washington on  April 26-27, 2010. The summit aims to allow entrepreneurs to develop closer relations, cooperation and dialog among different cultures and societies and will provide a unique opportunity for creating networks and exchanging different ideas.
