Turkey's family minister says Turkish-Albanian relations should be an example

TIRANA (A.A) - Turkey's family and social policies minister said on Wednesday that Turkish-Albanian relations should be an example for regional countries. Fatma Sahin said that Turkey would continue to support Albania in every area. "Turkish-Albanian relations should be an example for regional countries," Sahin said during her meeting with Albanian Labor, Social Issues and Equal Opportunity Minister Spiro Ksera in Tirana. Sahin is paying a formal visit to the Albanian capital. Minister Sahin said unemployment rate in Turkey had dropped in the last five years, and her ministry was extending social support to children, women and elderly. Also speaking in the meeting, Ksera said Albania wanted to boost cooperation with Turkey in social areas, and Albania had signed a social insurance agreement with Turkey. Ksera said Albanian government was fulfilling European Union (EU) integration reforms without concessions, and called on Turkish businessmen to make more investments in Albania. Albania was supporting foreign investors, Ksera also said.
