Turkey's finance minister says debt stock risk for Turkey due to close relations with Euro zone

ISTANBUL (A.A) - Turkey's finance minister said on Saturday that the debt stock in developed countries was a risk for Turkey due to Turkey's close relations with European Union (EU) and Euro zone countries. Mehmet Simsek said that the debt stock ratio to national income in developed countries reached 90 percent, and even 100 percent. "This is a serious threat for global economy, but it is also a significant risk for our country due to our close economic relations with EU members and Euro zone," Simsek said during a meeting in Istanbul. Simsek said EU summit to take place on December 9 was important, adding that there was need for a fund that would manage those high debts with a sustainable cost.
