Turkish Cypriot leader willing to get a result in ongoing talks till end-March

GIRNE (A.A) – The president of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) said on Wednesday that he would try to get a result in ongoing talks with the Greek Cypriot administration till the end of March or beginning of April. Dervis Eroglu said his nation and he would like to live humanly in Cyprus, and benefit from human rights. "July 1, 2012 will be the natural end of negotiations, and therefore we will continue intensified talks and get a result till the end of March or beginning of April," Eroglu said during a seminar in TRNC. Eroglu said United Nations (UN) Secretary General Ban Ki-moon's Special Adviser on Cyprus Alexander Downer would present a report to Ban at the end of March. "Ban will either call for a multi-lateral meeting on Cyprus or present his own report to the UN Security Council," Eroglu also said.
