Turkish deputy premier says his country is a source of inspiration

MEXICO CITY (A.A) - Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan said Friday that Turkey was considered by many Muslim countries as a source of inspiration. "Youth in many countries are encouraged by the functioning example of how Islam, democracy and secularism co-exist in Turkey which became possible by reforms we have made," Babacan told a dinner given by the International Finance Institute as part of a ministerial meeting of the G20 countries in Mexico City. Babacan said Turkey shared its experiences in political reforms and economy management, adding that the country "do not preach them or give them lessons. We only share our experiences."                  Babacan said Turkey had boosted efforts to strengthen political stability and democratization in the country accompanied by a sound economic policy which had reformed Turkey's banking sector and public finance.
