Turkish deputy premier visits Hong Kong stock exchange

HONG KONG (A.A) - Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan on Tuesday visited the Hong Kong Stock Exchange as part of his visit to Hong Kong.   Babacan met with the HKEX Chairman Ronald Arculli, discussing ways to devise a cooperation mechanism and joint programs between the Hong Kong bourse and the Istanbul Stock Exchange, Turkey's main bourse.    Babacan said during the meeting that Arculli was set to visit Turkey in a few of months as Arculli on his part said that Turkey was an important country and economy. Arculli said Turkey's "educated, young and dynamic population" was admirable, adding that Hong Kong was eager to boost trade and financial relations with Turkey.  Babacan also met separately with Fred Lam, executive director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
