Turkish energy minister says Turkey would enter arbitration over gas price

ANKARA (A.A) - Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz said that they decided to appeal to the arbitration regarding price paid for natural gas from Iran. Yildiz said that the price paid for gas imports from neighboring Iran was higher than prices in international markets, stating that they held talks with Iran on high natural gas prices, but no progress was recorded in talks. Yildiz said there was a great increase in natural gas and electricity consumption in the country due to harsh winter conditions.
