Vatan daily quoted Karaloglu as saying "the two earthquakes devastated our province. Van has become a ghost town where money has no meaning. We urgently need food items". Turkiye daily quoted Karaloglu as saying "Van was destroyed by the two earthquakes. And now we face extreme cold weather. We are out of assistance materials. Aid to Van must continue.
