Turkish Red Crescent Aid Society distributes 1,750 tonnes of food materials in Mogadishu to date

MOGADISHU (A.A) - November 30, 2011 - Chairperson of the Somali Delegation of Turkey's Red Crescent Aid Society, Safak Lostar, said Wednesday that they had distributed 1,750 tonnes of food materials to those in need in Mogadishu and the surrounding region. Speaking to the AA, Lostar said that an additional 3,500 tonnes of food items was currently waiting at the Red Crescent's logistics center and they would be distributed soon. The Turkish Red Crescent has been performing humanitarian assistance in Mogadishu for the past 3.5 months.
