Turkmenistan’s national holiday marked in Baku

Baku, November 25, AzerTAc Turkmenistan’s Embassy in Azerbaijan organized an official reception on the 23rd anniversary of country’s independence. Ambassador Toyli Komekov spoke about the history of his country’s independence after Azerbaijani and Turkmenistan’s national anthems were played. The diplomat stressed the importance of heads of states’ meetings to develop comprehensive cooperation between the two countries. He also hailed meetings of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijani and Turkish Foreign Ministers that gave impetus to the development of relations between the countries. Mr. Komekov said that one of the main factors for the development of bilateral relations is expansion of trade and economic relations. He stressed the importance of intergovernmental Commission on economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan in this respect. Congratulating the people of Turkmenistan on behalf of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, the Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ismat Abbasov spoke about diplomatic relations between the two countries. The Deputy Prime Minister noted that friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation unites Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan in all fields. Ismat Abbasov highlighted the expansion of strategic cooperation between the two countries. Noting that relations between the two countries within international organizations will continue to further, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the expansion of bilateral relations on political, economic and cultural fields.
