Two Malaysian Students Selected as Scholar of JAGAM Undergraduate Scholarship

KUALA LUMPUR, May 22 (Bernama) -- Two Malaysian students, Yip Shu Jan and Lim Yong Shang were awarded the Nagoya University-Japan Graduates' Association of Malaysia (Jagam) Undergraduate Scholarship to pursue their studies in Nagoya, Japan. Each of them had been awarded 500,000 yen (US$6,271.67) scholarship per year to support their living expenses there, and they also get a full tuition fee waiver together with a free one-way air ticket to Nagoya, said Jagam in a statement issued here on Tuesday. The association said both of them had displayed remarkable academic achievement and extra-curricular participation. Yip, a former student of Raja Mahadi Secondary School, Klang who hopes to be involved in research and development of naturally safe skin products in the future, is taking up a degree in Chemistry. While Lim, from Penang International School, who aimed to be an economist, is taking up degree in Economics. -- BERNAMA
