Two missing Thai hajj pilgrims found being treated at hospitals in Mecca

BANGKOK, September 14 (TNA) -- Two missing Thai hajj pilgrims were already found following the crane collapse onto the Grand Mosque in Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, Chularajmontri (Sheikhul Islam of Thailand) which is the Thai Islamic spiritual leader has arrived in Saudi Arabia to lead Thai hajj pilgrims in ritual acts in Mecca. The Thai medical unit deployed in Mecca reported that Ms Tuanya-i-ma Na Nakhon was receiving treatment at a local hospital. She is a native of Yi-ngo district, Narathiwat province. Another Thai victim was Phisa Duangdol, who was injured at the back of her neck, left shoulder and back. She was treated at another hospital. Thai Islamic spiritual leader Aziz Pitakkumpol already arrived at Medina airport on Flight No. KU791. Thai consul and hajj consul, their staff and the head of the Thai medical unit received him there. Some 107 people died on Friday including one Thai woman when the crane toppled into a courtyard of the Grand Mosque, one of Islam's holiest sites, during a thunderstorm. The Hajj Affairs Office in Thailand had identified the 48-year-old Thai woman who died in the accident as Vanida Sadee, a native of southern province Pattani. (TNA)
