Two more Thai nationals evacuated from Yemen

BANGKOK, April 14 (TNA) - Thailand’s Foreign Ministry says two Thai people evacuated from Tarim town in southern Yemen arrived in Thailand today. Sek Wannamethee, spokesman of the ministry, said the two arrived at Suvarnabhumi airport at 7.10am on flight WY817. Meanwhile, the Thai embassy in Muscat reported that three other Thai students whose evacuation from Aden city of Yemen was found to be difficult had already boarded a boat at the Port of Aden together with Indonesian students and were heading for Djibouti. They had received assistance from the Indonesian embassy in Yemen and the Red Cross, but the Thai honorary consul in Djibouti will arrange for their return home. The Thai embassy in Muscat had received evacuation requests from 125 Thai people and students in Yemen. Of that figure, 82 had returned home safely. (TNA)
