UAE project to assist Pakistan accomplishes 62 development projects

Abu Dhabi, Feb 26, 2012 (WAM) - The UAE Project to Assist Pakistan has announced the completion and delivery of 62 development projects out of 127 projects, being implemented by the UAE Project in Pakistan under the directives by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to assist the people of Pakistan. Abdullah Khalifa Al Ghafli, Director of the UAE Project to Assist Pakistan said the administration of project has accomplished and delivered 62 projects, including 19 educational projects, 42 water projects and one project in the area of roads and bridges. He added that 30 projects are underway and will be completed within the next three months. Al Ghafli said the projects are the symbol of solidarity with the Pakistani people to ease suffering and provide to them good living conditions. He added that the continuous support from the current UAE leadership is an extension to the legacy established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Citizens from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa commended the initiative of the UAE President of launching the UAE Project to Assist Pakistan, which focuses on four areas: education, water, roads and bridges, and health. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
