UCLA film archive spotlights Fish & Cat

TEHRAN, May. 03 (MNA) – Shahram Mokri’s feature film Fish & Cat was screened at Billy Wilder Theater during the annual UCLA Celebration of Iranian Cinema underway in Los Angeles. . The UCLA Film and Television Archive is currently holding the annual UCLA Celebration of Iranian Cinema, showcasing some of the most acclaimed Iranian films. Iranian feature film Fish & Cat directed by Shahram Mokri and produced by Sepehr Seifi was screened at Billy Wilder Theater, home of UCLA Film & Television Archive's public programs. The annual UCLA Celebration of Iranian Cinema will run until May 16, 2015 at the Billy Wilder Theater at the Hammer Museum in Westwood Village, UCLA (University of Los Angeles, California). A product of Novin Film, Fish & Cat has participated in many events so far and won numerous international awards. The film narrates the story of a number of students who have traveled to the Caspian region in order to participate in a kite-flying event during the winter solstice. Next to their camp is a small hut occupied by three cooks who work at a nearby restaurant.
