UN Advisor's statements against Bahrain slammed

New York, June 25 (BNA): Delegates of the GCC countries to the UN expressed rejection of the statements made by one of the UN Advisors, describing them as an interference in Bahrain’s internal affairs and a breach of his mandate as an advisor. This came in a letter addressed by the GCC Permanent Representatives to the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon expressing protest over that and underlining Bahrain’s sovereign right to enforce its laws according to the constitutional and legal guarantees and procedures on which the autonomous judicial process is based.
