New York, Dec 1, IRNA – United Nations General Assembly enacted six resolutions in favor of Palestinian occupied lands and Golan Heights in Syrian on Friday, in defiance of US pressures. The resolution on Quds condemned any move by the Zionist regime to dominate Quds as capital, urging an end to the efforts in this respect. The resolution was approved with 148 votes for, 11 against while 14 abstained. Another resolution stressed inseparable right of the Palestinians for owning their land and government while the other called for peaceful resolution of the issue of Palestine. Other resolutions urged publication of accurate and comprehensive information and role of the civil organizations and institutes in supporting Palestinian nation’s inseparable rights such as deciding their fate and efforts to find a peaceful solution to the issue of Palestine. Continuation of Palestinians Rights Division in the UN secretariat in a bid to promote constructive involvement for raising awareness about the issue of Palestine and immediate settlement of the issue was the theme of another resolution enacted in the UNGA on Friday.
