UN Special Envoy for Yemen Thanks KSA, Appreciates its Role in Promoting Stability, Peace in the country

United Nations, Nov. 05, 2019, SPA -- The United Nations Special Envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths welcomed the agreement between the Yemeni government and the Southern Transitional Council to "shape the next phase," in the country. In a statement, he considered signing of this agreement as an important step in our collective efforts to reach a peaceful settlement of the conflict, in Yemen, adding that listening to the relevant southern stakeholders is very important to the political efforts to achieve peace, in the country. In his statement, he expressed gratitude of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) for its "successful mediation to conclude this agreement" and thanked it for its tireless diplomatic efforts exerted, in this respect. -- SPA
