Undersecretaries of GCC Finance Ministries Hold Meeting in Doha

Doha, March 31 (QNA) - The 46th meeting of the undersecretaries of GCC finance ministries began in Doha on Monday. Hosted by the Ministry of Finance, the meeting was chaired by HE undersecretary of the finance ministry Khalaf Ahmed Al Mannai, and attended by the undersecretaries of finance ministries in the GCC countries as well as the participating delegations.       Addressing the opening session, HE Al Mannai expressed Qatar's keenness on supporting GCC cooperation, noting that today's meeting comes within the framework of this cooperation. He also pointed to the importance of issues to be discussed in the 46th meeting of undersecretaries of finance ministries, particularly with regard to advancing financial cooperation and developing GCC customs union, among others.     HE the undersecretary of the finance ministry extended his thanks and appreciation to the State of Kuwait for its efforts during its presidency of the previous meeting.    GCC assistant secretary-general for economic and development affairs Abdullah bin Juma Al Shibli said that the meeting discussed a number of topics, including the GCC Secretariat's reports on the completion of the requirements of the Customs Union, economic judiciary and unified tax system, in addition to framework of deepening economic integration among the GCC countries.
