UNDP Resident Coordinator visits Ministry of Culture and Tourism

Baku, February 12, AzerTAc UNDP Resident Representative in Azerbaijan, Antonius Broek has visited the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. During the meeting, the sides focused on discussing projects realized in Azerbaijan. Mr. Broek noted that Abulfas Garayev’s meetings in New-York, especially with UN officials in January of running year were positively regarded. In his turn, the Minister noted that, involvement of UN’s three main institutions (UNESCO, Alliance of Civilizations and the World Tourism Organization) in the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue is a vivid example of Azerbaijan’s deep and multilateral cooperation with the Organization. There are big prospects for cooperation on tourism area in the frames of UNDP. The sides noted that after all the proposals will be adapted to the Azerbaijani legislation, their mechanisms of implementation will be carefully observed. These proposals will be linked with the "Culture and sustainable development in the post 2015 development agenda" of the 3rd World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue.
