UNESCO Director-General Receives Credentials of Qatar's Representative

Paris, January 06 (QNA) - HE Dr. Nasser bin Hamad Al Hanzab presented his credentials as a Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), to HE Director-General of UNESCO Audrey Azoulay, at the organization's headquarters in Paris. During the meeting, they reviewed the close relations between the State of Qatar and UNESCO, through the initiatives of civil society organizations represented by the Education Above All foundation and the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, in light of the actions of the State of Qatar and HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development and Education Above All, to support UNESCO via implementing projects and programs that contribute to establishing international peace and security in education, culture, and science fields. HE Qatar's Permanent Representative to UNESCO stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation with the organization in all fields to achieve the strategic vision of the State of Qatar and UNESCO, by cooperating with the member states accredited to the organization to promote peace and coexistence between peoples and cultures in accordance with the founding charter of UNESCO.
