Urban, Infrastructure Projects in Qatar on Schedule - Qatar's Transport Minister

Doha, July 07 (QNA) - HE the Minister of Transport Jassim bin Saif Al Sulaiti said that Qatar Highway Design Manual (QHDM) and Qatar Traffic Control Manual (QTCM) are of great importance to all users of the roads, adding that the two manuals will be circulated to all the authorities in charge of implementing infrastructure and road networks in the state. In remarks marking the launch of the two new manuals today, HE the Transport Minister said that the two manuals contain all the requirements necessary for the urban development experienced by the state, including specifications for bridges, tunnels, bicycle and pedestrian paths and various road projects. The new manuals avoid the shortcomings of the previous manuals, HE the Minister said adding that they have also been modernized in accordance with the requirements imposed by the development requirements. HE the Transport Minister explained that the manuals will be applied to the future projects as well as the maintenance projects to be implemented in the future, pointing that all the All construction, infrastructure and road networks projects in the country as progressing as scheduled .(QNA)
