U.S. Congressman Ed Pastor extends remarks on Khojaly Massacre

Washington, March 1 (AzerTAc). On February 27, U.S. Congressman Ed Pastor from Arizona extended remarks on Khojaly Massacre. He noted that Khojaly Massacre was one of the tragic events that took place during the Armenia-Azerbaijan war, resulting in death of hundreds of civilians, extermination of families and destruction of the town. The congressman underlined that despite the fact that Armenia and Azerbaijan had signed a ceasefire agreement in 1994, the conflict still persists and Nagorno-Karabakh region is still occupied by Armenian armed forces. Further, Congressman Pastor stated that the peaceful resolution of Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict will ensure the regional security and economic growth in South Caucasus. Yusif Babanly, Washington
