US Declares Its Support For Any Move contributes the improvement of relations between Iraq and Turkey

BAGHDAD / NINA / United States announced its support for any move that contributes to the improvement of relations between Iraq and Turkey. A statement for the secretary of state said that "the Turkish government played a very important role, during the recent weeks and months, and did steps positive to block funding and the flow of foreign fighters through its territory and to deal not only with the (IS) organization threats coming from Syria, but with the threats of the (IS) in Iraq as well." It added in its statement that "The United States appreciates Turkish contribution in this area, which is one of the reasons for the visit of US Vice President Joe Biden to the Turkish capital of Ankara." It is mentioned that Turkish Prime Minister Ahmed Davutoglu ended yesterday two-day visit to Iraq, during which he met his counterpart, Haider Abadi, President Fuad Masum, his deputy, Osama al-Nujaifi, Parliament Speaker Salim al-Jubouri, the head of the Islamic Council Ammar al-Hakim, Kurdish President Massoud Barzani, the president of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Nechirvan Barzani and discussed with them bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation in all fields, especially in the fight against terrorism. / End
