US failed to reach consensus against Iran

London, Nov 14, IRNA – Iranian ambassador to London expressed regret over the language used by US officials against Iran, saying the US has failed to arrive at ant-Iran consensus. Hamid Baeidinejad made the remarks Tuesday in an interview with American media 'CNN'. 'These languages [used by US National Security Adviser John Bolton and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo] are really extraordinary and not understandable as you see the exemptions that they have been providing to many states around the globe mean that the United States has been failed to in fact create a kind of consensus among the countries to have unified sanctions against Iran and they have been under the pressure from so many circles here and there that they really want to continue working with Iran so they have been under the pressure to accept some waivers and exemption. 'These are just the allegations some of them very unbased [unfounded] accusations that the United States is making against Iran and this is exactly the contradiction that we receive in the US that in one way President Trump is inviting a lot times that in fact President Rouhani would meet him and in other occasions we see that this kind of contradictory statements that are conditions to be met by Iran,' he said. 'So this shows that there is no consistent policy in the United States and they are putting forward conditions that they know better than everybody else that it would be impossible for Iran to accomplish because in fact when you start the nuclear deal for example on the enrichment that was possible because the United States shifted its policy from zero enrichment to accept that Iran can have a level of enrichment now they are saying that we should come back to zero enrichment policy which is impossible,' he added. Commenting on Iranian government plan to tackle economic problem, Baeidinejad said 'the importance here is the psychological impacts rather than having very practical grounds so they started a kind of psychological warfare to frighten all people and to sabotage our economy but gradually we could in fact manage to find ways means that we can guarantee that we can continue to export oil and now they are the record to say that we would be zeroing the Iranian oil exports which has not been successful'. Elsewhere in his remarks, Iranian envoy referred to the measures taken by Iran to sell oil, saying 'we have a lot of alternatives because we have had some experiences from the past and we know that in fact the difference from this time comparing to the previous time is that countries are not really to comply with United States requests so we have enough leverages to continue our exports.' 'We are not happy in fact that the big companies leaving Iran because of the US pressure but in the meantime we have a lot of interests by medium-sized and small-sized companies to work with Iran and we are in close contact with the European Union that how we can ensure that in fact medium-sized and small-sized companies could continue their work with Iran,' Baeidinejad reiterated.
