US State Department representatives familiarize with mine-clearance operation in Azerbaijan

Baku, November 26, AzerTAc Representatives of the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan visited Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA). The goal of the visit was to become familiar with the process of implementation of the Jeyranchel project and learning the needs of the Agency. Information was given about the implementation of project at the meeting held in the headquarters of the Agency. Then, the U.S. delegation visited Goygol Regional Training Base and Jeyranchel territory of Aghstafa District where the project is being implemented. The quests were informed about the activities of the Agency and organized exhibition of equipment and familiarized them with conditions of the base and breeding center of mine detection dogs. The guests appreciated achievements of the Agency since it was established; the most important projects have been implemented, as well as local and international trainings. During the joint visit to Saloglu base and the territory of Jeyranchel, the Regional Operations Manager Madad Mammadov gave detailed information and answered the questions.
