Vegs take 7.1 thousand hectares

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At a national level, vegetables and fruits such as cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers and strawberries have been planted on 7.1 thousand hectares this year. Apart of them, potatoes have been planted on 13.8 thousand hectares. As of today, 80 tons of vegetables, 18 tons of tomatoes, 500 kg of strawberries and 38 tons of leaf vegetables have been harvested. It is expected that the vegetables and potatoes will be sold through 28 spots in the city’s six districts. According to a survey conducted by the Health Ministry, 198 thousand tons of potatoes will be consumed by the population this year.
