Vice-President of SOCAR meets participants of 7th international environmental project Olympiad

Baku, April 4 (AzerTAc). Vice-President of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) for Environment Ms. Rafiga Huseynzade has met the participants of the 7th international environmental project Olympiad. Rafiga Huseynzade said the event would mark the 90th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev and highlighted architect and founder of modern Azerbaijani state Heydar Aliyev`s care and attention to the ecological issues. On successes of the ecological movement carried out under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, Mrs. Rafiga Huseynzade briefed the participants on SOCAR`s large-scale projects in the relevant sphere. The 7th International Environmental Project Olympiad (Inepo-Euroasia) kicks off in Baku bringing together nearly 500 students from 45 countries including Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Great Britain, Russia, Malaysia, Bulgaria, Pakistan, Thailand, Ukraine, Turkmenistan and Romania. The Olympiad was co-organized by Azerbaijan`s ministries of Education and Ecology and Natural Resources, SOCAR, Azerbaijan TV and Radio Broadcasting Company, Cag Oyretim Isletmeleri Company and “Inepo-Eurasia” Environment Public Union. The event aims to inform the young generation in the fields of solution of growing environmental problems and protection of nature in Azerbaijan, as well as in the world, and to enhance awareness on ecological issues.
