Vietnam PM Reiterates Cooperation with Japan on S. China Sea Issue

Hanoi, May 25 (Jiji Press)--Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc reiterated Wednesday that his country will continue working with Japan and other strategic partners to maintain peace in South China Sea, where China has been expanding its military presence. To this end, Vietnam is determined to take all necessary measures, Phuc said in an interview with news organizations including Jiji Press. Phuc also said his country does not intend to use force to resolve international issues so as not to create conflicts that may jeopardize lives of people in countries involved. Vietnam loves peace and respects all countries' sovereignty and territories, he stressed. Phuc called on all parties making territorial claims in the sea, including China, to find resolutions to the disputes through dialogue. END
