Visiting Timorese PM visits Thailand's royal projects

BANGKOK, April 26 (TNA) - The Prime Minister and Minister of Defense and Security of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão, who is on an official trip to Thailand from April 25-29 as the guest of the Thai government, visited royal development projects at the Chitralada Villa in Bangkok on Friday morning. Gusmao expressed his interest in various activities of the royal projects initiated and personally funded by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej to assist Thai farmers to be able to rely on their own living and to become modeled sources of their complete knowledge and research on agriculture, including the production of rice paper and candles for royal ceremonies, spirulina, lingzhi mushroom, longan honey and dairy products, as well as a royal dairy farm. Gusmao's five-day visit to Thailand is part of his ongoing trip to Southeast Asian nations after assuming his second-term premiership of Timor-Leste on Aug 8, 2012. Thailand is his first destination in the trip. (TNA)
