VISUALLY IMPAIRED CHILDREN ARE GIVEN LUMINOUS BAGS

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The staff of the Mongolian Immigration Agency Tuesday gave self-luminous bags to visually impaired children. The public officials ran a donation campaign within their agency to help the children with visual impairments, who study at the only school for the disabled in Ulaanbaatar. With the money donated, the staff sewed ninety luminous bags that, they suppose, will be one further step in traffic accident prevention. In Mongolia, there is only one school designed for the visually impaired children, the secondary school no 116, where a total of 89 children study. To be safe, the visually impaired should wear bright-colored clothing when crossing streets, specialists say, as pedestrians with visual impairments are much more likely to become car crash victims.
