War Victory Day of DPRK Marked Abroad

Pyongyang, August 9 (KCNA) -- Events took place in different countries to mark the 65th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War. There were a seminar on exploits in Russia, a solidarity meeting in UK, a lecture meeting in Tanzania and a photo exhibition and a film show in Nigeria between July 23 and 31. Films introducing the reality of the daily developing DPRK were shown. Gribakov, chairman of the Russian Maritime Territorial Association for Friendship with the DPRK, said that President Kim Il Sung embarked upon the road of the revolutionary struggle in his early years, defeated the Japanese imperialists with arms and accomplished the historic cause of national liberation. He noted that the President won a shining victory to be recorded in the world history of wars by smashing the imperialist allied forces and defending the country. He pointed out that thanks to the guidance of the respected Supreme Leader HE Kim Jong Un, the DPRK's international position is on the rise day by day and great successes are being made in socialist construction. Maina, vice-chairperson of the Tanzanian National Coordinating Committee of the Juche Idea Study Groups, said that July 27, 1953 was the day when the Korean people created the great myth of war victory for the first time in the world. The vice-chairperson went on: Today the DPRK has proudly gained the status of the strategic state. No one on earth can match the strength of the DPRK in which the entire army and all the people are rallied as one around their leader. July 27 will shine forever in the history as the day of eternal victory of the Korean people. -0-
