Well-wishers chant “Long Live the King” at hospital

BANGKOK, Dec 5 (TNA) - Well-wishers wearing yellow shirts travelled all the way to the hospital and chanted “Long Live the King” on his 87th birthday celebrations after learning that His Majesty the King cancelled a plan for a public audience at the Amarin Vinitchai Hall upon the doctors’ request. The general atmosphere at Siriraj Hospital which sits on the bank of Chao Phraya River has been very lively since early in the morning as well-wishers stared at the top floor of the hospital where His Majesty the King is taking treatment. They sang the Royal anthem and chanted “Long Live the King”. The Royal Household Bureau has allowed the public to sign book expressing wishes at the Grand Palace from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Friday while extending wishes at the hospital will be temporarily closed and will be reopened from next Monday onward.
