WFP honors head of Niavaran cultural house

Tehran, Nov 15, IRNA – The UN World Food Program (WFP) organization in Iran honored the head of the Niavaran Culture House Abbas Sajjadi for his humanitarian activities in the center. The WFP representative in Iran honored Sajjadi with a certificate of appreciation for the 'The Art for Humanity WFP Exhibition' held in the cultural center in October. “The expo was an amazing event which can lead to expansion of mutual cooperation”, believed the WFP representative. The WFP exhibition featured 130 works by 100 prominent Iranian artists, in painting and other visual arts' fields, including Abbas Kiarostami, Parviz Tanavoli, Parviz Kalantari, Mahmoud Farshchian and Mohammad Ehsaei. The opening ceremony of the art expo was held on the World Food Day./end
